The LaFontaine Automotive Group Story

Our story starts more than 45 years ago, when Michael and Maureen LaFontaine started their first dealership in 1980. From the very beginning, our mission has been to create a personalized shopping experience that prioritizes our customers' needs above all else. 

That means we work to build lifelong relationships with our customers and their families; this goes far beyond your time with us at our dealership and extends throughout the communities in which we live and work. This is because, as a locally-focused dealership, we're not bound by a distant corporate boardroom—our decisions are made right here, with a true understanding of the needs and challenges our customers face. We are part of the communities in which we sell vehicles, actively contributing and supporting local life.

The LaFontaine Automotive Group is still operated by our family, including the CEO and other key leaders at the very top. We continue to uphold the core values that Michael and Maureen had in mind when they founded the company, including strengthening the communities in which we work, building long-term relationships with our customers, and providing you with personalized, meaningful service.

The LaFontaine Automotive Group has more than 40 retail locations throughout Michigan, which means we work with people in Okemos and throughout the area. That is why we have created programs like our U CAN-CER VIVE Foundation, with an ongoing mission to provide funding and support for cancer research here in Michigan.
